Dear Moodle Users,

We are writing to apologise for the inconvenience you may have experienced during your Moodle usage today. We understand that the service was not up to the expected standards, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption caused.

After a thorough investigation by our CTS team, we have identified the root cause of the issue. The disruption was due to the rapid filling of the hard drive in the DB (Database) server. We recognize the impact this has had on your experience, and we are committed to addressing this issue promptly.

We would like to assure you that our current infrastructure is robust, and we have taken immediate steps to upgrade the hard disk space to prevent such incidents in the future. The upgrade is scheduled to take place tonight, starting at 9:00 PM (15-June-2024) and concluding at 7:00 AM (16-June-2023). During this window, you will not be able to use the infrastructure.  If you have scheduled any submissions, we request you to kindly move the date.

During this upgrade, there will be a planned downtime, and access to Moodle will be temporarily unavailable. However, we are working diligently to complete the upgrade as quickly as possible, and we are optimistic that it will be finished well before the scheduled time.

We understand the importance of uninterrupted access to Moodle, especially during critical periods, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work towards enhancing the infrastructure to provide you with a seamless experience.

Once again, we apologize for any disruption you may have encountered, and we thank you for your cooperation and support.

Thank you for your understanding.

With Regards,

The Moodle Support Team
